Arrive today at three. Everything is secured and then the rain started. I'll sleep in boat tonight and start cleaning. Boat had rain water in it but was clean and fresh no mold or algae. Brakes work and boat stops eventually. Had first panic stop at short light downhill in the rain. Stopped jusy short of the limit line, on the other side of the intersection. I'll feel safer when the roads dry. No hurry, don't have to be to work until Aug 9. Please pardon typos only have cell phone and I'm all thumbs. I'll keep you guys posted.

I have a back-up main for my 26D. It came with the boat, never been out of the bag but you are welcome to give it a try.

Mainsail for catalina 27

The McGregor wont fit the hoist is too short. You might be able to pick up one. check some of the used sail sites. Make sure you know the dimensions A pearson 26 main or a c&c 27 main would probably fit with some minor adjustment.

I have the old Neil Pride mainsail for my Starwind 27, P = 29.5', E = 11.17', SA = 165 sf.

It has bolt ropes with no slides. It is dirty, old, baggy, soft & free!

I found a really nice Ohio State camp site at Alum Creek.
I have a feeling that the luger will fit. I'll know tomorrow when I measure the P & E.
I started throwing stuff into the cockpit for a night of cleaning and sleeping. When I lifted the mast to move it out of the way and the tie down rope was hung up on the ladder and over it went. As I was trying to think of a way to snag the dadder and upright it a nice old couple came by and rescued me.

Just when you think nothing else could go wrong I openned the hatch. An found what I thought was more rain from last night until I notice it was brown and smelled a whole lot like gas. I dumped the gas from the gerry can into the truck and filled the geffy can with what has to be 5 yr old gas. Went to. WalMart and bought another geery can for the rest. It's a good thing I don' smoke. Don't think i'll be sleeping in the boat tonight.
Thanks for the offer Harley, I may just take you up on that if I can't get the smell out.

i'm sitting in a rest stop just west of Indianapolis waiting out thd rain. Had to stop because of high winds rain and lightning. It was difficult to see especially with the wake of the semi next to me. It's hot and humid and i'm sweating like a pig but a very safe pig.

Caught a nice bass for tomorrows dinner in Owasso OK. Visiting an old buddy Bubba Fennel.
Trailer is following nicely. Water blasted bilge and smell is disappearing. I'll be hitting road early tomorrow before the heat gets turned on. Last nights driving through OK's thunderstorm and heavy rains was tiring. Today was a nice break.

Well I'm on my last leg home. I'm staying at a nice campground at Meteor Crater in Arizona. I found the charger cord to the computer so I can post more easily. I stopped at an Indian trading post to buy a knife. The billboard advertised knives made by chief Yellowstone. When I looked closely to see what kind of steel they were made with it turned out to be Chief Yellowstone from the Yellow River in China.
The terrain in Arizona is really magnificent. It is unbelievably hot in spite of the 30 mph winds and rain.
I'm learning some new things about the boat such as it has a depth sounder and alarm speaker. The barbecue grill looks like new but it is not a gas grill. It has a strange grate at the bottom possibly to let air under the coals. I'll take a picture tonight. I have water hookup in this camp so I'll be able to see how the fresh water system works. I will install battery tomorrow as well, if this wind ever lets up.
