Hi Peggy, I can't seem to find where the fuse might be on my macerator. Any ideas? The macerator won't come on, most likely because I ran it too long last year. Thanks, Steve

Steve, sorry dude no fuse. If your getting 12 volts out to the macerator and it does not come on its dead. I killed mine last too so don't feel bad. Ken Black Pearl

First, make sure there's power to it...

If it's getting power, but the motor won't run, Ken's right...it's toast. But if the motor hums, all it may need is a new impeller to replace the one you fried by running it too long. If the impeller doesn't turn at all, it could just be stuck... From the instructions that came with it--which you can download and print from here: http://www.jabsco.com/prodInfo/overview/18590_MACERATOR.PDF "After long periods of nonuse, the flexible impeller may stick to the pump body preventing the macerator pump from turning freely. If this occurs, the impeller can be broken free by removing the plastic cap on the shaft at the rear end of the motor, inserting a screwdriver in the slot and rotating the shaft clockwise a quarter turn or more. When impeller is broken free, reinstall the plastic cap on the motor shaft." I'd advise replacing the impeller too. In fact, it's a good idea to replace it every spring, as preventive maintenance.
