Do you want another electric pump or manual pump?
There are only two types of electric overboard discharge pumps--impeller pump with macerator and diaphragm. Impeller macerators: Only two brands--Jabsco and Johnson Pump...they're virtually identical.Jabsco impellers and other parts are easier to find than Johnson. Advantages: least expensive overboard discharge pump. Disadvantages: frequent impeller replacement required, especially after the pump has run dry for more than a very short time.Electric diaphragm pumps:SeaLand T-Pump and Jabsco diaphragm pump are the only two. SeaLand costs a little more, but is top quality. Advantages: can run dry without harm, so can be mounted further from the tank--even above the tank. Rarely require any maintenance or repair. Disadvantages: cost about $100 more than a macerator pump. Larger size may not fit available space.Manual diaphragm pumps:Two brands: Whale and Henderson. Advantages: no power consumption, rarely require repair (rebuild about once every 5 years), can double as a manual bilge pump in an emergency. Disadvantages: you have to pump it manually instead of just pushing a button.Acessibility issue is the same for all of 'em...'cuz you have to have access to the same area open the seacock to dump the tank and close it again afterward. Power consumption for all the electric pumps is neglible. Why do you think you need to replace your macerator?
