I need to cover my mac 26S but am having no luck on finding a ready made cover. Is there anyone out there that can point me in some direction. The cheap tarps found at the hardware stores just don't last. Please help. Thanks, Fred J

sailboat covering

Might I recommend Don Casey's book Canvaswork and Sail Repair. I actually made a boat cover for my powerboat out of the cheap blue tarps from Harbor Freight. It was a good practice for a more permanent cover for my sailboat. Before last fall, I had never used a sewing machine. With the guidance of Casey's book, I am making very useful covers for my boat. I recovered my Mac cushions. You can do it too! John S

howabout a tent?

harbor freight has a tent on sale 12x20' for $100 I modified a canopy I already had to raise it higher, so I could drive under. its not long enough for the entire boat, but I think I can add 2 mor poles and some corners to make it longer. fwiw, the canvas covers only last a season, (in fla - due to sun & dry rot..)

Boat Cover

I found some interesting instructions on making a boat cover using PVC pipe and those cheap blue tarps on the Bosun Supplies website. See related link. Click on "Knowledge" in the menu bar at the top of the screen and look for the project on covering a boat. Looks good, I'm going to make one at the end of the season. Rusty
