Kevin, I use a cheap IR thermometer I got from Harbor Freight for $5. It's a small, keychain digital thing. When on the road, I go around and measure the tire and bearing temperatures. Never had a problem so far, and hopefully, the thermo would tell me when a problem was starting. Did know when to apply some extra grease one time.On dual axles, this is a judgement call. Brakes make a big difference with this big a load, and I think they are important, whether one or two axles. The SS add-on sounds good. Maintenance is a necessity.Hope all this advice has been helpful. You get what you pay for.
