Took delivery of a shiny new 26M straight out of the container just before Christmas and have been having fun putting it together. Had the local Merc dealer fit a 60HP EFI 4 stroke and have been guessing on the ideal prop pitch (local outboard guys have never seen a boat like this here - 60 hp on a trailer-sailor!). Started at 8 inch but motor over revving at WOT. Went to 10 inch at importer's suggestion and seems probably about right - wide open throttle a bit over 6000 rpm with full tanks and 4 adults on board. Haven't got GPS yet so don't know speed but gets on the plane around 4500 rpm depending on load. What is the experience of other 26M owners? (If you don't know the pitch it is usually the last number stamped on the prop serial number) Quite a few X's in OZ but very few down here in Melbourne. My M is only number 6 into OZ (lots of interest and questions at boat ramps!) so I'm hoping this forum can help with advice + tricks.
