Great for Short Folk
Hi John,I believe the sales brochure listed head room as 4' 11", but that depends on where you are in the cabin. I'm 6' so I have to crouch over pretty far and using the head presents somewhat of a challenge, but I didn't buy the boat to spend a whole lot of time in the cabin! My wife and I have slept on the boat twice in the rear berth, and it's not bad, though we plan to add a memory foam mattress to make it a little more comfortable.I think if you look around, you will find you can have a Mac 25 for around the same price or less than many 25 to 30 year old Catalina 22's. Personally, I think it is the most under-valued boat on the trailer-sailor market. The main things relevant to buying one is make sure sails, engine, rigging, and hull are in good shape, and trailer is serviceable. Everything else is just a plus.
