luger
I had a Luger 26. The only 2 things I did not like were no head and also no head room. I looked at the luger 27 very throughly and almost boughyt one. A few of the features I did like were the head room, added space in the cabin, and the fact that an outboard motorcould be used like an inboard motor. My intentions of sailing just around the lake changed,so I purchased an Oday 272 for more coastal sailing. The Tradewinds 27 is a good trailerable boat. I still like the swing keel and 2/11 draft. It is not rated as a coastal cruiser. Remember that the Tradewinds 27 is a kit boat,so that makes the boat only as good as the person that built it.Be shure to check it out throughly. Also check out the decks and see if they are softand delaminated. This is no real problem in that they can be stiffened back up with many hours of work and a lot of epoxy.
