Hi All,
I have recently purchased a new to me boat. She is a Beneteau 423, 2006 and I have noticed that may of the seacocks are very hard to open and close.

Any advise on the best way to lubricate these? They are all bronze quarter turn valves, and also below the water line.

There are lots of how-do instructions and some videos on the internet which describe how to disassemble seacocks but it is pretty straight-forward to lube them with some water resistant lubricant. It should be considered routine maintenance on every boat.

If you really need detailed info and can't find it, repost and I'm sure someone can take the time to research links for you.

One thing to keep in mind- even well lubricated seacocks should be "exercised" occasionally. Every once in a while, open and close all of them.
