Lower Chain Plates

Quick question for y'all on the chain plates. The ones on my new old boat look different then the ones that where on the other guys catalina 30 in the yard with me, and different then what i've been able to see pictures of online.

Are the ones on this boat just a half upgraded version of the U bolt, with some additional backing plates for the knees. Pictures are below to show what i'm talking about.

Looks like it.

I did the CD upgrade on mine and the only thing that upgraded on the lower rears was the u bolt with a matched upper L bracket similar to the one shown.

The forward lowers however upgraded with a nice 12+" backing plate for the ubolt and also secured the deck forward of the shrouds to the Vberth bulkhead with a bracket and bolts.
