Five miles from our dock is a bridge with low clearance, then its clear sailing in to Pensacola Bay and the ICW, and the Gulf. Only with the mast tilted into its crutch is there sufficient bridge clearance. So going out and returning is a major chore while underway or even at anchor. QUESTION: has anyone modified the forestay to a " quick release stay adjuster" or "clibrated turnbuckle" or done anything else that might make the mast take down/put up process easier to perform while the boat is in open water? Tell me what you did and how you did it, or should I just forget the whole thing.
