Low RPM vibration

Been noticing vibration coming up in some threads again lately. Then an idea hit me. I have an O'Day 35 with a Universal M25xp and vetus 75 engine mounts. Vibration below 1000 rpm pretty rough. 1050 to 1100 idles very well. Above fine. Could having to increase idle for smoothness indicate that the spline is wearing in the damper plate. Just a thought.

No, Dave. Our combined 27 years of experience on 1,801 hulls and 700 active C34 forum members is that low idle is just that. Your solution is correct.

The C36 guys for some odd reason seem to be the ones who have the most issues with the damper plates and they report a much different and specific NOISE from the plates, unrelated to the rough idle.

Check out the C36 forum for more.

Add to Smitty's: the Hurth manual says it's good for those rpms, too.
