Does anyone know where to get the low profile vent for the Hunter 34 , year 1983 -1984 ? It was once posted on the chandlery section !!

I do not know where you can buy a new one- if you are talking about the "snorkle"vent (dorade) - two of which are on the cabin top. I have seen a posting describing a rebuild of the base so you can use a more readily available size. I painted mine last year with a Capt Phab product which is a paint for fenders etc. It seems to work pretty good- jury still out as only one season. That presumes you have not lost one- or both.

On my 84 those are 5" cowl vents, which I'm sorry to say you will only find new in stainless steel or brass both will be over $300 each. You can find 5" mushroom vents and Nicro makes a 5" vent that looks like a power vent without the fan. I gave up and bought 4" cowls and made adapters out of HDPE, so far so good. It would be great if someone would prove me wrong.
