Water pressure to the galley faucet is fine. But water just trickles out of the faucet in the Aft head. There is also low pressure in the forward head. Has anyone had a similar problem? How do I fix it?
Gene,If the pressure is good at the galley the screen at the pump must be clean. Make sure there is a filter screen. If not, sediment may have settled at a fitting or maybe there is a screen at the faucet. Try disconnecting the supply tube at the sink and pump and blowing back. The supply tubing in my 40 is plastic and easy to work with. Good luck.JohnSV Stressless
The screen on the faucet aerator tends to clog with salts. I find we need to clean them all at least yearly. Surprising amount of deposits. FYI, the head units are far more troublesome than the galley for some probably simple reason. Good luck. RD
I agree with Rick. You can try your shower to see if just the screen is clogged. These boats are no longer new. I have had to install a large filter at my tank to stop gunk from the tank clogging my lines &/or filter. If it is a line clog, try putting hose pressure to one end, the other must unfiltered so that the gunk flows out.PS cleaning the filter on the taps also gives far beter water flow dor usage. They are cheap to replace if uncleanable.
I have a 1985 Hunter 40 that has had extensive upgrades. For long term benefits lose the factory grey water lines, go to 1/2" reinforced lines and 3.8 gph pump. Materials about $250.00 Labor about 8 hours.
