I performed maintenace on my jabsco electric toilet. replaced impellor, removed salt and gunk from impellor and now I have lost prime from the thru-hull. I have tried backflushing from the toilet intake hose up and over the siphon break and water seems to flow out of the boat. I then close the thru hull valve and immediately slam the hose onto the pump intake port and clamp in place. then I open thru hull and hit electric switch. pump runs but no water is coming into bowl. I do not want to do this for too long or I will burn up new impellor. I even found the solenoid that supposedly closes when switch is pushed and plugged the end of the siphon hose to make sure are was not getting in system and I can still not get water to show in the bowl. Since this is the method I used on the first toilet and got a good prime I am at a loss to figure out what else to try HELLLLP!!!!

Have you tried...

Disconnecting the head intake hose from the thru-hull and sticking it in a bucket of water to see whether the toilet will pull any water out of the bucket? 'Cuz the problem may not be the toilet at all...it could be that the seacock isn't opening the thru-hull...or something decided to take up residence on the outside of it. If you eliminate the thru-hull as the problem, the only thing left to do is, call Jabsco. 'Cuz you've done everything else I can think of.

quick response

Peggy thanks for the quick response. I was hoping to avoid that last one cause of the 5 other things I have to disconnect to get to the clamps, but so be it!!!
