I recently purchased my first sailing boat, a 26' Pearson. I've enjoyed every minute of my time on it, including friends who accidently kick things overboard in the dark. That leads me to my problem. One night when we were hoisting the anchor in, my friend came up beside me and unknowingly kicked my anchor well cap overboard. Since then, I haven't been able to find where these are sold. The Pearson has an oval cap, and all I can find at my local shop is circular small ones.
Does anyone have any advice for where to look for these caps so I can purchase a new one?
I apologize if I butchered any of the sailor language, I'm still catching on that too. Thanks for any advice anyone has.
