It sounds like the wiring from the lights and electronics mounted on my mast is loose inside my mast and banging against the inside of the mast every time the boat rocks. Doesn't apprear to be hurting anything but the "tink, tink, tink, " is annoying. Any suggestions without dropping the mast?

it may not be the wiring....

...I had an 86 and I thought the wiring ran through a tube up the mast. But if yours does not you can unscrew the plates, at the bottom of your mast, holding the sheaves that are used to run your halyards to the mast head. That will allow you some access to the electrical wire that runs down the mast to the deck. This is how you access that electrical connection which is a male/female connector. You may be able to pull down on and put some tension on the wire that is causing the noise. Good luck.

Noise in Mast

The wires for the lights on the mast are probably inside a conduit that is rivited to the front of the mast. Look for a line of rivits to be sure. If anything was added (VHF antenna, wind instrument, etc.) those wires may not have been run through the conduit. It could also be one of the halyards.
