Can anyone tell me what to do about the traveller that the pulley for the main sheet rides on? It is coming loose, and there appears to be no way to tighten it. When I reach up into the hull, there seems to be no passage to whatever attaches it. Do I have to tear open the hull, tighten the nuts (I assume that's how it is mounted), and then patch the hull? It seems strange that this problem does not have an obvious solution.

look a little harder

I answered another invisible bolt q a little lower than yours under "stern pulpit- its dark, tight, and difficult, if you can't stand getting an MRI don't do it!!- just kidding, but it is a very tough spot.

I think if you check out the Cat. 22 web site ( the one with spirit in it), and the technical manual that they suggest that you have to cut a small access hole in the cockpit side of the transom, to access the nut end of the bolts. My guess is that you may have to also beef up the fiberglass with more of the same in the top of the transom where the traveler is attached. Then re-fiberglass over the access hole and if all goes well it will be as good or better than new. Good luck! Dick
