loose throttle linkage

I have a 1990 Hunter 30 with Edson console (see link) but the throttle linkage is loose and doesn't hold position without keeping your hand on the throttle. I am assuming this is a fairly straight forward fix but am not sure how. Any help would be appreciated.

Harry:

On the earlier boats the pedestal had a set screw under the compass that allow you to add tension to the throttle cable. If you do not have the set screw, then you can get a J-clamp. Check out the archives for additional information.

The set screw is still there on the 91 H30. I have the same issue.
