Loose Tension Guage

I have a 1987 Catalina Tall Rig. I was hoping someone has some experience with the Loose Tension guage. I don't really know how much tension is good to have on the rig. Any input on this would be helpful an appreciated. Thanks Rich

Rich: Check the archives on 7/14/00. I wrote an article that gives all you need to know...Readings were for a SR, but should work for a TR. In a 15 knot wind while you are beating check and see if the non-tight stay is a little loose...You will be there when that happens. Kick it over and the same amount of slack should occur on the opposite stay....Good luck...
