My 1980 Cat 30 has a loose rudder post. It looks like there is a plastic bushing at the top in the cockpit. Is this somthing that can be corrected in the water by replacing this bushing (where at the parts available) or is there more to it.
Hi Tom I have a 81c30 and the same sort of things appeared to happen but i was down on the 1/4 berth checking the steering cable and noticed that the rudder post is split intwo parts upper and lower and connected by a bolted flange. The bolts on mine had worked loose ,tightening them help tremendously hope this helps
