Loose footed Main reefing question

Hunter 27 Magothy river
Hey guys just bought a 1990 hunter 27 and love it. I put the sails on it the other day. The mainsail is a loose footed. When I raised it, I noticed that there was no loop to connect to the rams horn when I reef like my old sail. It has a grommet through the sail which is the reef point about 2 feet above the tack. I always want to be able to decrease sail area quickly if needed and I wanted to see what easy way I could reef the main. I already attached a reef line on the grommet above the clew. Thanks in advanced.

You can put a short line with a couple of eyes on through the roof point grommet rear the horn That's what my North sail has, only it is webbing with d-rings on either side.

My loose footed main has a cunningham with a hook. I lower the main to reef hook the cunninham to the reef point and that does the job.
