Don, Is a Loos gauge necessary or helpful when rigging a C-270?? The manual for the boat just gives general directions regarding setup. The gauge came with the boat, but I have no instructions for it's use. Thanks, Nate Jackson
improvement in the sailing performance on my H26 and I would think that could be the case with your boat. I had adjusted my rigging by the owners manual and found out I was less than 40% of the values the rigging was designed for. A copy of the instructions could probably be secured at your West Marine store. Ray sv Speedy
Nate; Yup, you've got to get the directions. Also, I just bought the same guage (pro model) but it is not specific for my boat (C30) so what I intend to do is first check with my rigger before I attempt any adjustments. How I got turned on to the gauge was my dock neighbor borrowed one from a friend and he used it to check my rigging and not one shroud was the same!! Obviously I need to adjust.
