Hi all,

We had some time at anchor when the fog rolled in too thick to sail away so I got some dyneema 12 strand to make some loops. Instead of using metal on metal for rigging I can use one of these.

Ha ha ha, retired but get the drift. Since those attempts I've found a better method for the loops. I thought of using them with a low friction ring as a barber hauler. Add some ability to adjust twist in the Genoa.

I used those rings for spinnaker blocks on my Montgomery 15. Worked great as light weight tackle. Should work for your intended purpose.

Nice. We always have a handful of soft shackles ready. For almost anything. I think we currently have 20 of them on BlueJ in permanent use. Amazing how much weight it saves, IF you remember to take the old Stainless OFF THE BOAT! ;^)

Dyneema is fun! I am learning to make soft shackles too. I think I am getting the hang of it. Keeps me out of the bars (sometimes).
