We have a 2002 hunter 456, it has the tan ultra leather interior. Any suggestions on if there is a way to source identical material to repair some cushions in main salon that are showing their age?

Contact US Yacht Cushions in St. Pete Fl. They have most of the patterns and may have a source for that material.
I had them redo all the cushions in my 91 passage. They did the boat originally and were great to work with. I highly recommend them. Great people.

Out of curiosity, about how much does it cost to replace cabin cushions on a boat in the 36-40 foot range?
Stan, the labor and new foam and attaching hard velcro is in the $1500-$1600 range .. The material itself can skew the price a lot.. My 34 needed 10 yards of upholstery material, so I am going to guess your 36 would need a couple more.. I re-did only the main cabin cushions and not the vee berth or aft cabin cushions.
The material can be had for anywhere from about $15 a yard to around $100 a yard, depending on what you want. The Field's Fabric folks and the SailRite folks sell sample kits so you can actually see and touch the material. I tried to find stuff in Baton Rouge fabric stores but no one had the kind of stuff I was looking for.

The fabric will generally pale in price compared to the foam if you have to replace that. Especially if you go with a top quality high density foam that is going to be long lasting.
The foam is a petroleum product and we all know where the price of oil is these days.
We had the cushions on our 2008 38 redone in 2010 because we both hated the color and style of the standard fabric. I know, extravagant, But its a long story. A high quality boat grade fabric (made from fibers that are not going to retain moisture) and labor with no foam replacement was around $3 K

Speaking of recovering cushions, I am planning on using the Ultraleather on my H340 - but want to cheap out on the backsides to keep costs down -the cushions aren't reversible so no reason to spend top dollar on what is never seen.
Any suggestions as to what you have on the bottom/back? Mesh? Vinyl? Cloth?

The previous owner surfaced and now I have the missing original cushions...... and a pile of new 4" foam that isn't exactly right for the covers..... anyone need new cushion foam? You'll have to pattern the covers off the foam. I might keep it until I feel ready for a new interior project and try to sell the original set... Sigh.

We replaced all of the interior cushions and fabric on our h27; and after doing waaay to much research, we ended up buying sunbrella furniture fabric online, and having an upholsterer make the cushions and covers. He was able to use the existing cushions as patterns, which worked out pretty well. Labor was less than half , since the upholsterer didn't have "marine" I his company name.

Not all bad news. Yesterday I managed to put on three covers on the foam I had cut. I was pretty impressed that it was so close as I didn't have the originals to pattern off. The port side dinette cushions won't work as I divided the space up in different configurations from orig. so not a total wast of time/money!
