Tired of breaking my back hauling my anchor out. Looking for some ideas on installing a windlass. There is not much room on the bow of my 30. My brother suggested that I replace the chain locker hatch with a diamond plate cover and mount one there.
I used to have the same problem. I just couldn't do the anchor, a big one, anymore. Solved the problem by purchasing a Fortress aluminum anchor. We just use hand signal, drive over the top of the anchor, pull it up and we,re gone. It,s really quite simple and the anchor seems to hold as well as my old heavey one. Sean--CARNABY STREET
