I bought an old oday javelin. The hull number on the plate is l17591. It also has "class number 1039" on the plate. Can anyone tell me when this boat was built?

Well, first I can tell you that she was built prior to 1972, boats built after 01NOV72 have a 12-digit Hull ID Number molded into the outside of the transom.
O'Day boats built prior to that (like yours) have 2 numbers, a "HULL#" and a "CLASS#". The hull # indicates how many total boats O'Day had built and Class# refers to how many of that model (in this case, JAVELIN).
Based on the hull#, I'd say your boat is approximately a 1966 model, maybe 1965 or 1964. 1962 was the first year for the Javelin.

The best way to try to narrow that down would be to post a question on the Javelin Class web-site.
