Looking for wind chart maps online

I use this:

You will have to change the location to where you are since it defaults to where I am.

I use the wind forecast maps on the www.Intellicast.com site. Look for the column "Forecasts" and scroll down to wind. I have found their forecast winds quite accurate up to a couple of days out.
I have also looked at this one, but find it is not quite as good at forecasting as Intellicast. You can use the navagation bars to move from Norther Lake Mi to the East coast.

Are you looking for historical or real-time wind charts. There's a big difference. Historical wind charts are great for trip planning purposes and can be found in the pilot charts, which you can get most of HERE.

Take a look at passageweather. It has many wind and other charts. Second sailflow for ease of use.

1 - select region, 2 - select surface meteorological/ocean, 3 - wind, 4 within 1 hour.

These are only as good as how current the data is, sometimes a old as an hour or more.
I like Sailflow the best also. As a non subscriber the map view is still the best and most up to date. As a subscriber as I have been for four seasons you can view their own sensors which are sampled much more frequently than the public ones. Their wind forecasts are incredibly accurate and IMHO the subscription is worth every dollar.

This is the URL of the site you are looking for. Just double left click on the region you want to zoom into. Resting your cursor over the choice triggers what the graph forecast gives you.
