Greetings all,
I'm debating on mounting a flat screen TV starboard of the mast on the bulkhead wall. Concerns are using fasteners that will penetrate too far in and interfere with the pocket door that slides into that area. Has anyone tackeled this project yet that could shed some light on this installation?
Thanks,

Pocket door can be removed by removing the door frame overhead moulding on the head side of frame (3 brass screws under teak plugs) remove the rollers on top and pull door out. Did this to refinish door. Predrill holes for mount and insert stove bolts from inside of pocket. Had to use wife's hand tho. Mine too fat. Flat, smooth head of stove bolt leaves more than enough room for door to slide without touching. Sorry, no pictures. Wife threw the camera out when I tried to take a picture of her with her hand in the pocket. Private joke.

I had the same concern. I mounted a 27" HDTV in the same spot. Screws were near mirror in head. Did not interfere with the pocket door. Can swivel TV to lower table.

I have removed the bookcase shelf over the nav desk and installed my TV there. I have a 22" with built in DVD player. I can swing it out and view it from the cockpit. I can set my laptop on the nav desk and hook it up to use it as a monitor. I also use a wireless keyboard to surf the web from my port setee.
I reserved the main bulkhead for a framed picture. I did not want the TV to be the first thing you see upon entry.

Jose,
Like your idea better. Think I'm gonna' change mine up again. Like the thought of being able to swivel to see from the cockpit when at anchor with folks outside.
