Does anyone have a recommendation on where to get the tubing they use to make the frames for dodgers and bimini's? Going mail order results in a big charge for shipping due to the truck freight costs as this is an oddball size and shape. I only need two pieces about 12 feet long so I'm hoping there is a local supplier. Thanks, dave

West Marine or any Canvas shop

Dave: If you order it from your local West Marine store, they do NOT charge freight. They just ship it in and you pick it up. You should be able to go to any canvas shop in the area that makes marine canvas and purchase what you need.

here's a thought about acquiring the tubing....

There is a company in Hartsville, Ohio, called Rayco. It is owned by Darrel Turner and he has a boat at Sandusky Harbor Marina. He travels (with or without installation crews)to the lake area all the time. He makes biminis, full covers, etc. I am certain that he has the tubing you want and may even deliver it to you. Hope this is not too much information, too late. Good luck.
