I'm working on a little project for my 23.5, and wonder if anyone has a good web sight for Teak. I need a couple boards measuring aprox. 1/2" x 4 x 12. Thanks

Do a google search

for teak wood. There is a source there in Mich. that I found when I was looking for teak plywood. If you don't find a local source shipping is very expensive because of the dimensions. You have to pay extra with UPS because of this. Disclaimer: This post is made as a simple attempt to provide someone with help. The only assumption that can be made is that I really enjoy this website and appreciate anyone who can provide brief helpful information whether they know anything or not. http://www.worldpanel.com/teak.htm

John: If you can find something locally you will be better off because of the freight costs. If you cannot find what you want, you may want to contact H&L Marine in Southern California. They are the OEM mfg for Catalina and can mill most anything you need. They have solid wood as well as veneers.

Try ebay

I got two nice boards for less than half of what lumber yards want, and less than a 3rd of the price at West Marine. ~ Happy sails to you ~ _/) ~
