Looking for retail store that sells brake winch

Dear Macgregor Owners,

I have been looking in local marine supply stores for a brake winch. Apparently brake winches are not normally supplied in marine stores. Most marine supply stores carry only regular trailer winches. I even check Harbor freight but they only carry electric winches. I need a 1500 lb manual brake winch for my mast raising system.

I would appreciate any recommendations.

Do you have any Tractor Supply stores around? We have 2 in town. They carry several winches.

Google Dutton Laison ,they carry what you need,Replace my keel winch years ago.They supply most swing keel winches today

Just re-read the request. Why would you want such a heavy winch for a mast? Not that I'd want to do it again, but I have raised my mast by just walking it forward.

Thank you for referral for brake winch. Northern tools had exactly what I needed to complete my mast raising system. Too bad local stores do not carry brake winches in their inventory. I am sure that I will not be the only one requiring a brake winch for safe mast raising.
