Hi Harvey Cedars

Our drill for the series is Skipper's meeting at 10:30 am on Sundays, when VC decides whether the forecast and wind is safe enough to send all the boats out to the start. The course is also set at that time depending upon the wind direction. If it is overcast with a chance of thunderstorms, we race. If there are showers or a chance of showers we race. Generally we do not race in wind steady or gusting at or above 20 knots by policy. In that case most of us go out anyway and have a great time, but there is no official race.My team consists of three boats, we stay in touch with all of our crew early on race day about weather comfort zones and who will be crewing. Generally we have about 15 boats every race, ranging from 16 to 36 feet. May 4th there will be less boats as a some skippers aren't ready yet. All three of my team boats are ready, and we will be racing. If 6 crew show up to crew with me, and only one shows up to crew on another team boat, we jump boats on the water and share to even out crew, but only within the team. To answer your question, it's too early in the week to take the forecast for Sunday too seriously. See what happens, abandoning the race early in the day is a cellphone call away. Thanks for your reply, Cappie
