Someone recently posted here his pet peeve about caulk only coming in large containers, mine is the same only about paint. The marine industry seems set on gallons and quarts. I have a project that only requires a half pint, painting our cockpit seats non skid.
I am using Interlux Brightide polyurethane Matterhorn White which is close to the O'Day gray. For the job to come out better I need to use a flattening agent to lower the gloss and a dash of black to darken the shade. I have the quart of Brightside but the other two also only come in quarts and I really would prefer not to consume three quarts just to get 8 ozs of paint.
Any other tints or flatteners that might be available at the hardware store?
