I am compiling my list of winter maintenance (and some improvements!) for my 1982 Oday 22. I sure would appreciate any insight or lessons learned for the following: - Lifeline stanchions need to be rebedded and reinforced. Only 2 of the 4 bolts come thru into the cabin liner. Are the other 2 just bedded in the core or are they structurally important (ie, deck-to-hull attachment). - Repairing chainplate cracks - any advice on how to replicate the nonskid pattern, or how to match the tan gelcoat? - Re-bedding motor mount. I read Rich Lemmler's post - is the transom cored or just fiberglass panel? Would it be bad to stiffen the transom with a folded piece of f'glass mat tabbed horizontally? - Replacing hatch hardware, hinges, etc. Should I tab in plywood scraps to the underside and use screws, or bolts with washers and captive nuts? Thanks in advance, R/ GAC
