Looking for new depth sounder

The thread about the speed log got me thinking about needing to replace my old depth sounder/speed meter, temperature guage set. The old one worked well for 15 years or so and therefore doesn't owe me anything! Unfortunately they don't make what I have anymore and I am therefore looking at what is available. I was wondering what everyone else is using and what you have had good or bad experience with. Mostly what I need is the depth sounder. It was nice to have the multi-function guage where I could switch back and forth between depth and speed, but the speed reading was a luxury and I do now have a GPS that could take care of that. I was looking at a Standard Horizon DS35 that goes for a little over 100 dollars. It comes with a transom or a puck transducer. Anyone have experience with one of those? All feedback appreciated.
