I'm buying a Columbia 22 (fin keel) that has been torn apart for refubishing. It sits on a tandum trailor, neglected for several years. I'm looking for the sails that go with the boat: someone took the sails with the intent of buying it some time back but never followed through. I suppose they live in Wichita, KS. I'd like to have them back if they're listening in... Also, I'd like to know how much the boat weighs and any other information you might have. Thanks in advance. I can't wait to get painting. Misplaced sails/ Columbia 22 info

Your boat has a displacement of 2200# She is 22LOA and 20'1" LWL the dimentions for the sails are; main P (luff)22.5' E (foot)10.25'for a mainsail area of 120sq ft. There are three jib sizes given. A 100%, a 125% genoa and a 150% genoa. Total sail area is listed as 232 sq ft. I got this info from a phamplet that Dennis Lancaster from Bellingham WA put togeather. I don't know if it is still available. There are at least two other Columbia lists that might help you. The most active one is columbiasailingyachts@yahoogroups.com There is also a web site www.columbia-yachts.com that you might want to look at. Good luck on your project. I'm currently just finishing a Challenger 24.
