I was looking at a used Hunter 27 (am considering purchasing it). However, I couldn't locate the manual bildge pump, and the owner didn't know. Anyone with any ideas??
Didn't come with a manual bilge pump.I spent some time looking and finally determined that there wasn't one.I did think that the manual holding tank discharge pump was the manual bilge pump for a while, good thing the seacock was closed Regards.Bruce.Neon Moon
According to the manual(Link below) the H27 came with both a manual and an electric. In the plumbing diagram it looks like it is forward. Probably depends on the year. Or maybe it was an option? On my Cherubini(H37C) it is in the cockpit.
(Looking at diagram)The "No. 10 Whale Gusher (Hand Pump)" is supposed to be a bilge pump? Doesn't exist on my boat. Also, the thru hull for the electric bilge pump is on the port side, just aft of the settee, not on the starboard side.Don't have a head
racing version. Stripped for speed! Most of the H27s in the Link below had heads. I saw one 1978 that had a porta-potty but only checked a few older ones.
As Ed (or someone) mentioned the manual has it located under the V berth starboard. Our 82 H27 has holes in the bulkhead at that location.Andys/v Baroque
Forget the bilge pump...Ed, does that site with the diagram hold other models and specs as well? I just bought an '88 Legend 37 and would love to find such a resource. TIA
