I contacted Hunter support as advised on an earlier posting. Their response was, they no longer had an owners manual for that boat. My problem is 1)- Swing keel has come loose, I need to get a spec sheet to see how the keel is attached(below water line). #2- companionway cover needs to be replaced need diagram giving dimensions. anyone with a Hunter '19- 1982 daysailer or with an owners manual, can I get a few pages copied and faxed to me so I can repair? Please. I would thing the mfgr would keep these things but I was wrong, although I did get a fast response from their support people.

1982 H19 Spec.s

Hey Bob! I too have a 1982 H19 with no manual. I've been trying to dig up info. on this boat with little success. The keel on my boat is pretty straight foward. It is attached with four bolt and four nuts. The nuts are acsessable from inside the boats cabin under two wooden covers on the keel well. There is one on each side. I don't know if these are original access points as my wood covers look a little home made. I've had my keel off for painting and it weigh about a hundred pounds so you may want some one to help you. I just jacked my boat off the trailer, having first loosened the bolts and it slid right out. Putting it back in I did single handed using a jack and several wooden block and took it slow and easy. My boat is inthe water so I'll have to go and measure the doors, but I'll post the dimensions. Good Sailing, Nicholas "Freyja"

Nick, thank you very much.

Nick, i want to thank for your reply on the hunter 19'. The keel info will help a lot and i will be sure to take it slow and easy. It is just so hard to believe that Hunter would not have the specs on file somewhere, even though it is 17 yrs old, they designed and built it, I would think??? Oh well. I love the boat, it can really move. Thank you again. If you happen upon a Manual let me know. E-m address is: rotkh@flinet.com
