Been busy working on this latest project a 1975 Lancer25 just thought I’d throw this out for any comments. The hull number is (EN CL5 2311175). If Anyone has any Info it would be greatly Appreciated In my last post I asked about removing the boat from the trailer and got some pretty good suggestions I still haven’t gotten my nerve up to implement any of them though.
I tore into the motor well dismantled and removed the steering quadrant cables etc. cut out the rotten ply and delaminated glass removed what was left of the two stringers.
I used some A/C/X ply that I back primed with west epoxy fit it through the hole pulling it up into some thickened glue and screwed it in place through the perimeter of the existing glass with brass flat heads. Once dried ground out and re-glassed the whole thing. Ill install and glass in the stringers tomorrow. While this was going on I also managed to laminate up a new tiller the old one was seriously falling apart the boat is set up with wheel steering and the old tiller I don’t think could ever have been used it would have not gotten past the wheel. The new goes up and overand is going to look way kool:dance:.
