My 1984 34 has 2 Easylock double rope clutches to handle halyards. Each one has one release handle broken. Is anyone out there aware of a possible source for replacement. Thanks all.
Who makes Easylock clutches? I'd check Hunter Marine first. If you know the mfr, check the Hunter phone list at the link below. Virtually all of their suppliers are listed right there. If the number isn't there, then the Hunter tech guys will steer you in the right direction.
Claude:Place an advertisement for used parts in the Gear Forum. If you cannot find them there I would contact Rig-rite in Rhode Island. They handle this stuff.www.rig-rite.com
Claude, I have the same boat (83 H34) and had the same problem. I called the dealer/broker who sold me the boat in 2001 and he happened to have two complete sets of clutches. I bought both and replaced them on both sides of the cabin top. You may want to email around to different dealers to see if they have them in stock. Good luck.
Many Hunters are equipped with GARHAUER hardware. They use the prefix EZ on several of their products. My 35.5 [1992] has Garhauer clutches. Maybe yours is the same. www.garhauermarine.comgood huntingfred miller s/v M Squared
