Looking for advice on care of interior wood finished with Bristol

recently had the saloon table on our Passage 456 refinished with Bristol two part. Looks like new, I had ruined the original finish by covering it with clear plastic shelf paper to protect it, prior we had used covers that breathed, saw this heavy clear vinyl and thought perfect it will be easy to keep clean but let the wood beauty show thru. Big mistake it trapped moisture and the finish got cloudy. So I had it refinished. Anyone know how to care for it, soapy water? Should I wax it? How about removing swirl marks can I use high end polishing compounds on it like finesse it?

My mother had some beautifully finished furniture in her living room no one was allowed to sit on or use and was always protected with covers. Unfortunately, I think you just discovered her dilemma.
