Looking to possibly buy a trailer for my 272LE. Anyone out there know what I'd expect to pay for one? Where I could find one? I've searched all the websites and came up dry. Thanks.

I know of three new ones

I know of three new trailers in the last three years for ODay 272.If you want I could get in touch with them. I know that two of the trailers were very successful and one is a flexable nightmare, but it works. If I recall the price tags were around 4 to 5000.r.w.landau

People around here seem to favor Triad for new trailers. I have not pulled any boat as large as yours, but there are a lot of J's that use them in this area. I have a O'Day 28 and I am going to take it to Palm Beach FL next November. I am using a flat bed trailer and a cradle. The advantage to this is I can use the railer for other things.

Bob,We went through the same process of searching for a trailer for our 272 and found the best deal at Tropic Trailers, Ft. Myers, FL. They have a website under that name. They actually broker trailers made by Performance in St. Pete. We ordered one for under $5K. It is galv., dual axle with flush-outs for the brakes, surge brake system, six pads and wing keel bunk board and guide. All in all, we're happy with our purchase. Delivery cost was $325 which is half of what most quoted us. Good luck, ken

two manufacturers

I checked with two of the 272 owners here who have recently (The last 3 years) bought trailers.The trailex is an aluminum trailer that was tooooo flexible. it works but always gives an unconfortable feeling.The one most liked is Performance out of Fla.. They had their trailer built with pads. It was very easy to set up and they have had no problem with it.P.s. in some state the 272 requires a road permit to transit a state, due to the wide beam.hope this helps.r.w.landau

I forget to give you the price. 3 years age the Performance was 3600.00 delivered to pittsburgh by a local boat shop.It is a galvanized trailer.r.w.landau
