Looking for a Special Gasket

I am looking for an unusual type gasket / O' ring for the fill cap on my galley stove's pressure tank. The top and circumference surfaces are not rounded like an O' ring, but are flat as indicated in the attached drawing. There may be a special name for this type of gasket. Any suggestions on locating a new one will be appreciated.

The tank is a replacement that I have been using for several years. I have no idea who manufactured it. There are no identification markings.

Is the taper significant to the seal? You might be able to cut your own with gasket material from an auto / marine supply shop.

If I can't find a tapered gasket I will try a standard flat gasket, then if necessary, try to cut my own gasket. I'm sure if I had more information about the tank and or the gasket I would be able to come up with one.
Although this gasket is housed in the fill-cap, the underside, outside edge sits on the lip of the 3' tall fill pipe and the tapered portion goes inside the fill pipe. For now I am able to get by, by using Teflon tape to help seal the pipe threads, but I have to keep and eye on the pressure when I am using the stove for a long cooking session. I expect the pressure to go down as fuel in the tank is used, but it is going down a little more quickly than it has in the past.

It looks a bit like the rings you see on sink drain connections at home.
