Looking for a pressurized water fitting on '82 H27

While changing out the water supply line on the sink in our head, I snapped the PVC connector that attaches to the faucet under the sink. It's threaded, has a one inch inside diameter, and contains what appears to be a small check valve. Any idea where I can find these types of connectors? I want to step it down to a 5/8 inch hose. Thanks. I'll be more gentle next time.

Are you measuring hose ID or OD?

That is, Inner Diameter or Outer Diameter. Because hose wall thickness varies considerably, nominal hoses sizes are always ID. I ask because the standard water hose size on a boat is 1/2", not 5/8". However most sink connections are the same as standard household size...so you should be able to find the fitting you need at Home Depot or any plumbing supply.

Gray connections?

Tom:If you boat has that gray material (cannot remember the name of the stuff) you can get it from Home Depot, West Marine and some of the RV stores. This was that plumbing that they no longer use in homes.

Inside and Outside Diameters

The fitting that attaches to the faucet has an inside diameter of 1 inch, and is threaded to attacht to the faucet fixture. The piece that extends from this piece is 5/8 inch. I don't think this is original stuff. The piece I broke off looked like 1/2 inch that had been expanded out to 5/8 inch by someone. The line from the fresh water tank to the pump is a white, ribbed 3/4 inch line, so go figure!

I'm confused but...

Tom:I'm confused but these faucets are the same ones that are used in homes and RV's. I would suggest that you start out with whatever source is the closest.I just replaced the galley faucet with a Moen from Home Depot for about $30. The key here is to figure out the other end (water supply). Just take it the old piece to a home improvement center and see what they have. They should stock the wing nuts (assume that is what you are dealing with) that attach the water supply to the faucet.
