My rub rail came off on the port side. About 3 months ago. I was able to coil it up and strap it down on the foredeck. Starboard side is still installed up to the bow. Been sailing that way for 3 months as I just didn't have time to fix it right.
So now Polaris is in a boat yard down here in Mississippi for a polish/wax job, bottom paint job and repair the rub rail.
Did my best to straighten out the mangled aluminum rub rail mounting bracket and then with a friends help got the rub rail re-inserted into the mounting bracket. But now the rub rail is not long enough. Probably needs to be laid out on a hot pavement so it can get warm and softer so it can be stretched. But too late now.
So I was hoping that maybe somebody has done a rub rail replacement and has an old rub rail laying around. Just need about 18 inches that I can splice in at the end. Due to damage to the rubber rail and to the mounting bracket I have used stainless screws and washers to secure the rail better so it won't keep falling out. I will just screw in that last missing foot if I can find a foot of rail.
Will be glad to pay for all shipping charges. If anyone has any scraps they can toss my way please let me know.
Cheers,
Jim
