Hi am rebuilding my Universal 5432 which is a Kubota V1501 block. Need what they call a knock bolt. Part number is 15221-04550. It is no longer available from Universal or Kubota. It is a bolt that goes into the side of the block and had a center pin that located the main bearing case. It has 8mm threads then tapers and looks like a 10 penny nail. It is 68 mm from tip to the head.



Have tried every dealer and even had them put it on their search of other dealers. Not anywhere. So guess am looking for some one who had an old block that would sell me this part.
By the way the engine was used in a Kubota Tractor L345.

These folks are Kubota engine rebuilders and they rebuilt my Universal engine. They may have the part you are looking for.

If you take that bolt to a machine shop, it could be made pretty easily. Probably would cost $50-75, but you'd have it.

I deal with Messicks all the time. They did put it on national dealer locator. All those hit you see are false. Have called them. Their website are not updated. Like in a very long time.

Machine shop who did the liners lost it. I had thought no big deal. Boy was I wrong. It is a hardened bolt used as a locator pin for main bearing case.

Will try that rebuilder in Ohio. Just maybe he has an old block That bolt was used in the v1501 and 1502 block. Have been told the 1701 is the same block but have not checked it myself. The V1505 is todal different bloce. That is what Beta Marine used on theit 38 HP engine.

No luck with the evgine rebuilder in Ohio either. Does anyone know of a Tractor Salvage yard near you?

Wenger's in Myerstown, PA They might offer that specific a part online. Their website shows farm equipment, tractors, heavy equipment, and motorcycles. There might be a phone number to talk to a used parts counter person. Best Wishes.
