I am looking to replace my 2 blade for a 3 blade. Any suggestions as to size, make, etc.? I was told the rule was measure the diameter of my 2 blade and replace it with a 3 blade 1"lees in diameter. A Feathering prop I believe is not in my budget unless someone knows where the best deal is.

Fixed blade props...
...are inherently high in drag. 3 blades are the worst. Under sail this leads to excess leeway and weather helm not to mention the loss of speed(imagine you are dragging a bucket all the time). Feathering props do a good job of reducing drag to a minimum while producing great thrust in gear and particularly good thrust in reverse. Max props have a great reputation for longevity and Kiwi props are a much less expensive option.

I have a H31 1987, two bladed prop always vibrated and lacked power. Replaced it with a 3 blade 15 X 10. Engine revs up better and has much more power for loads and rough water. I race but not serious enough to miss the two blade for the advantages of no vibration, smouth running with power for rough water. Previous owner purchased a Eliptec folding prop "RH15DX15P-3" original list price $690.00, but never installed it, any one want to buy it? I am listed in the Hunter Owners listing for H31. I am staying with the three blade!
