I have a hurricane damaged Hunter 376 that needs some fiberglass work on both deck and hull. Can anyone recommend a good experienced fiberglass man or firm in southwest Florida in the Ft. Meyers, or Port Charlotte,or Punta Gorda area. One that can either work during the week or on the weekends until the repairs are completed.

I have someone coming to do some glass/gelcoat work in a week or so. I'll let you know how he works out. He's in Pt. Charlotte. DON'T use Bonita !! This kind of work doesn't come cheap !! He just did a hull repair on a friends EndeavourCat36, a hole from a lightning strike, and it was almost $500. Whatever you do, don't tell them if you're getting insurance $$$, they'll want it all.

When it came time to have some repairs done I filed a claim and the company covered all the costs except for the deductible. Their process involved hiring a marine surveyor to oversee the project and a reputable yard that was capable of doing the repair to the surveyor's standard. It was a stellar outcome and better than new. Terry
