Looking for a daysailer

Hello all,

I'm interested in purchasing a day sailer that can be singlehanded and reach some high speeds. Budget will allow something in the 5-10k range. Would prefer going with a new model for simplicity's sake. Have looked at both mono and multihull and can't make up my mind. Size wise I'm open to anything.

What's in the market now for something like this?
